The Association for Talent Development is the world's largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. ATD's members come from more than 100 countries and connect locally in almost 140 U.S. chapters and 25 Global Networks. Members work in thousands of organizations of all sizes, in government, as independent consultants, and suppliers. ATD started in 1944 when the organization held its first annual conference. ATD has widened the profession's focus to link learning and performance to individual and organizational results, and is a sought-after voice on critical public policy issues.
Southeastern Virginia Chapter (SEVA) The Southeastern Virginia Chapter of ATD is the primary professional organization for workplace learning and performance professionals in Hampton Roads. Formed in 1975, it's proud to be one of the oldest ATD regional chapters. SEVA ATD today is stronger than ever with a committed board and supportive members together creating new ways to support the talent development profession by providing trusted content in the form of books, events, and educational programs. Our events take place on both the Peninsula as well as the Southside of Hampton Roads and offer evening events, mixers, and workshops. SEVA Chapter met the Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE) for 2021!
This means the SEVA Chapter successfully met all 18 required CARE elements and is recognized for 100 percent achievement of CARE. Based on reported joint membership percentage, the chapter is also recognized as a Chapter Membership STAR with Power Membership over 50 percent. This means our members are national ATD as well.
